Three sinks installed and all the plumbing works great except for the pop up mechanism on the drains. Seems it either slips or just doesn't seal down tight and the water leaks out.

Can someone tell me a foolproof way to set these things to work?

Much appreciated!

Usually this is caused by either the pop up control being adjusted incorrectly, or the nut that secures the pop up arm to the back of the drain is too loose. Tightened just the correct amount, that nut puts a little bit of tension on the ball inside there. That tension keeps the pop up from moving unless you operate the pop up control.

Did that make any kind of sense to you? Rereading it, I am starting to get confused myself.
