It doesn't look that deep. I've used it on chips in a cast iron tub.
If you try to fill it, you'll have to sand it and you may wind up with a bigger area to deal with.
Just try a drop or two and let it settle and dry.

Do you mean to fill it slowly using just the paint... doing a build up, of sorts ?
 
Good thing you weren't working at a customers house like we do as you would be up a creek and it would have to be
fixed by you or your insurance.
