Prefab shower inclosure that was installed by the previous homeowner. It's in the basement, on the concrete, and cemented in very aggressively.
The drain was never installed properly, and the part of the drain that should screw in from the the underside was not placed properly before the install was glued in. So, the installer simply set it on top and ran a bead of silicone around the top.
Since we moved in, we haven't used this bathroom but are wanting to remodel it and make it function. Any products/ideas we can try before we tear out the entire shower unit, just to properly install the drain (it's not of the quality that it would survive the removal and would then need total replacement).
Thanks in advance, experts!
