My parents just moved into a new home and a 3M dealer just did a presentation on how our water is super dirty and convinced my parent to buy a water filter for 6500 after discounts, it comes with some soap subscription too ( worth like 4000 laundry loads or other soap products ).
They advertised it as life time no maintenance and if any problems occurred they cover labor for 5 years. The system is a 3M filter with 3 year salt supply.
How does these systems work. Don’t they need filter replacement. I strongly discouraged them from getting the system but they did it any ways. Did they get ripped off ?
