Home is 60+ years old, I believe this to be the original shower valve

Valve has external teeth and a screw adjustable anti-scald feature. Screws for the trim plate are on top of the valve and uncommonly wide.

Can anyone identify this shower valve?

edit: Pics got turned counter-clockwise 25%

Thanks for the reply.

Found a mom-and-pop vintage plumbing store. Is it against rules to plug the local store?

Turns out to be an American Standard Escutcheon, shower was probably updated in late 60s, early 70s.

Had to order very generic trim, no choice. :(:(

edit: tip with teeth turned out to be an adapter, which was common to this valve. Wout adapter, tip has dual flat sides.
