SOLVED! 1900 series now being converted with a kit to 17T. Thanks all!

Greetings:

I’ve tried every search I could and just can’t identify which model Delta shower control I have. I cannot remove the water flow handle to get to the cartridge. Delta misidentified it. TIA for any help.

Looks like it's maybe a multichoice 1700/1800 series?

Take the trim off and post a pic of the cartridge

I’d love to! The set screw was in the first temperature control handle, which was removed. I don’t know how to remove the flow control handle to get to the module. No exposed screws or connections in the cover or otherwise seen.

Clown control handle has set screw on the side. Usually very difficult to get out
I took out the set screw from the first handle which is the temperature control. I don’t see any screw in the inner larger flow control handle. I will see if it can be wiggled off, but didn’t have luck before. No schematics searched online show the metal temperature control “gear” at all.

I tried my darndest to get the flow control handle off. No dice. I did pop off part of the face plate on the wall and exposed some screws but it doesn’t seem like this is the way to go no can’t believe I can’t find a parts diagram that shows the proper temperature control gear!

You can buy a cheaper cartridge for that valve. You have the thermostatic cartridge but you can get the pressure balanced cartridge with temp control for about 60 bucks.

Goodluck !
