Hello,
I am a first time home owner about to by a house.
The septic system is functioning well, but it has these very odd tanks close to the house. There is only a fiberglass lid that you could easily lift up with your toe covering the tank.
I am concerned about be safety, what are my options for making this safer? I considered building a wooden platform over the tanks with a hatch to access the tanks, but I'm not sure if that's a good idea.
Should I ask for them to install a new tank? What would the coat be to replace just a septic tank?

Thx! Will upload some, are there typically regulations that require locked septic covers?
