How to level toilet on uneven tiles

Tiles are pretty flat but the toilet wobbles just a little bit. How should I level it? What could I put under there? A metal washer or two?

Drain flies / larvae / worms

Got tenants complaining about flies and black worms coming out from under the toilet. I'm pretty certain that the gasket is loose under there. So I'm going to just replace the toilet (it's an old one) while I'm at it. I figured I'd have them flush some bleach down there a couple of hours before...

How long do iron pipes last?

How long do iron sewer pipes last before they corrode through? I don't have any issues with my sewer pipes under my house now, but I was curious about this. My place was built in 1956. I assume that it's iron pipes that run under the house? I already replaced the clay pipes that ran outside.

    Faucet is stuck

All is well. Got the new faucet installed. I can't believe the new plumbing technology. I was looking at how some of these pipes just snap into place with a little clip to hold it on and wondering if it would leak. No drips. And just when I was worried about how to tighten the assembly from...

    Faucet is stuck

That would have been the best answer if I had one. I finally just started just gnawing, prying, cutting and bending & breaking until this monstrosity came apart. Too cramped to unscrew the bottom nut that was apparently holding this thing to the sink.

    Faucet is stuck

How do I get this rusted faucet out of here? Not sure how it was even originally attached because it's all obscured by rust.

    New faucet or washer?

So I discovered a puddle underneath my kitchen sink. The drain looks fine. It appears as if the leak is emanating from somewhere in the faucet enclosure. Look at all of the rust. When I run the faucet there is a very slow drip that runs down the flexible metal hose. Water drips off of the...

Install toilet repair flange or not?

I prepped it underneath the toilet to make sure there were no spaces. It seemed to fit on well when I se it. Hopefully all is well now.

Install toilet repair flange or not?

That's a good idea. What is a "horned" seal? A wax seal WITH the black plastic flange?

Install toilet repair flange or not?

Water was leaking from underneath toilet after I had replaced the flanged wax gasket about 8 months earlier. Iron pipe is corroding but I can still fit bolt screws in and they will hold. Top of iron is slightly lower than the tiled floor. Should I just install another flanged wax gasket? Or...

Water temp varies, sometimes only luke warm

What are "seams"? Something that runs throughout the copper piping system throughout the house?

Water temp varies, sometimes only luke warm

So a rod isn't a "field replaceable" item huh? What exactly does a "rod" do? What is this "sediment" made up of? Kind of like the rust that accumulates inside pipes? Dark red / black colored stuff? And does that somehow interfere with the thermostat's ability to gauge the temperature...

Water temp varies, sometimes only luke warm

havasu, It's a gas heater. At least 10 1/2 years old. Have not drained any sediment. I will look into that.

Water temp varies, sometimes only luke warm

    Not sure what that means

Water temp varies, sometimes only luke warm

My water temperature seems to fluctuate a lot. Lately usually it's barely warm enough to shower in. I'm wondering if there may be some sort of thermostat inside there that is failing. If so, is it usually a replacement part that I can buy at home depot or my local plumbing store? (I'm good at...
