    Y Connection for Washer

Thank you!! This is awesome and such a quick reply. Gave a half-hearted attempt at unscrewing it from the wye but got nervous when it wouldn't budge that I was going to break something. Looks like if it's just a male end of the line I'm back to WD-40 and tapping. Glad to have a backup if the wye...

    Y Connection for Washer

Noticed today that one of the supply lines to my washing machine is getting ready to burst. Can't figure out the connection to the top of the Y to find a replacement part. Is this line supposed to be replaceable or is it integral with the Y? Any direction on what to buy would be very helpful...

    Leaking Condensate Line

Thank you! Yeah this is just a patch to fix up the leak while that gets re-routed.

    Leaking Condensate Line

Hi All, We have the condensate line for our AC soldered directly into a copper riser that drains 2 of our bathrooms. There's no Tee or anything, was just a hole cut into the riser with the condensate soldered right in at a 90. Not surprisingly, there's now a leak at that connection. Thinking of...

    Replacement Faucet Valve

Thanks guys. Will it screw anything up if I replace the hot one and not the cold? Again, assuming I get one that uses a stem with the same size broach so the handle and all the visible pieces can stay the same

    Replacement Faucet Valve

Thanks Geofd! Yeah what would you call this thing? I can't find a replacement stem that matches so thought I could replace this piece to something with a more standard stem will make everything easier. Any clue if that would work?

    Replacement Faucet Valve

Hi all, I've been trying for a long time to replace a stem in my sink that's been causing a steadily increasing drip. Posted a separate thread about identifying a replacement but I'm coming to the conclusion it's unlikely I'll find something that matches. Anyway, plan B is to replace the valve...

Sink Cartridge Replacement - Next Step?

I checked out the Brasscraft guide and unfortunately didn't match anything. Also found some good guidance on Tap Magician, Home Fixit Parts, and Kissler (https://www.kissler.com/Downloads/Faucet%20Stems_B.pdf) if anyone else stumbles on this and needs some ideas on where to look. Did find one...

Sink Cartridge Replacement - Next Step?

Agreed! So I think after a ton of research that mine is from some random Chinese manufacturer. Plumbing supplier didn't recognize it and the couple manufacturers they suggested to call didn't have it either. Good news is I was able to deal with the problem a bit but smearing a bunch of...

Sink Cartridge Replacement - Next Step?

Good point. Was just trying to research it. Stem is 1 3/4 in long, 20 splines, from the cold side. Seems like it should be American standard, but could be speakman, t & s brass, or jameco if the broach is worn down. Haven't found a match on their sites yet. Will check the pipes for a sticker.

Sink Cartridge Replacement - Next Step?

Thanks everyone! Was able to get the cartridge out. Had to take the whole valve body off and stuck it in a vise to get enough torque on it. Next challenge is finding the replacement part since there's no markings on the cartridge or the valve body. Tried taking it to home depot to compare to...

Sink Cartridge Replacement - Next Step?

Hey Everyone, My sink was dripping so trying to swap out the cartridge. Got to this step in trying to remove the old one but not sure what to do next. There was a ton of buildup that I wiped off and put some cleaning vinegar on it too. Think that nut is supposed to twist off but can't loosen...

    Decreasing Flow Rate

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. Took the heads apart and soaked in vinegar for ~24 hrs. Just put everything back together and unfortunately seems to be more or less the same. One thing I did notice as I was testing it out this time, is the pressure only decreases when hot water gets mixed...

    Decreasing Flow Rate

The hot water tank. Thought maybe it had a bunch of buildup and restricting the pressure. Also it's been a while. Not on well water.

    Decreasing Flow Rate

Thanks guys I'll give soaking the individual parts a try. Know when I tried taking the restrictors out of 2 of the 4 jets, it makes those 2 very high with hardly any water coming out of the other jets or the main head. Guessing I'd have to take them off everything to keep the pressure balanced...

    Decreasing Flow Rate

I'll give it a shot! Thank you!

    Decreasing Flow Rate

Hmm do you mean like take apart the assembly of the body jets and let that soak in the distilled vinegar?

    Decreasing Flow Rate

We can actual control that already - the showerhead and body jets are on separate valves. Ideally we can use both at the same time, which is what we used to do before the jets stopped working as well.

    Decreasing Flow Rate

Hi Folks, We've been in our new house for almost 2 years and have noticed the flow rate in our shower declining over time. This is particularly evident when the 4 body jets are used in addition to the overhead showerhead since the flowrate demand is higher. The overhead showerhead seems to be...

    Replacement O-Ring

Hey thanks for the quick responses! Tried calling the mfg yesterday but not very helpful. Best they had was a $30 washer kit that might have one that fits. Attaching a photo of the gasket and the ball joint it fits around. Hope this helps! Other thought I had was just buy one of those sheets...
