Hey everyone.

just bought a new house and it has a ventless fireplace. I would like to my tank this weekend and connect it. I have one problem though the flex pipe is coming out of the house does not have a gas fitting on it. I am not sure what to use to get a proper seal. Can someone help me please?

That pipe takes a special fitting. Not sure what pipe you have but the casing has to be trimmed back so that a certain
number of ribs show. If you can spare about 6-8 inches of pipe cut it off and take it to your local supply houses and
see if one them can help you with the fitting. That pipe has to be cut smooth when putting the fitting on. You can't
use a hack saw. A copper cutter with a sharp wheel will cut it smooth. Double check and make sure you have no
gas leaks after putting it on.
