Maybe just get a new faucet?You should be able to slide the plastic/rubber washer into a groove in your spout and the top piece also slides in and you snap the into the lower part, if it doesn't stay in place you will have to get a new one

No, it's a Moen slip-on faucet type.You could but I bet that's a 10.00 part I'd give it a shot,I'm guessing that came off of a claw foot tub??????
That's from a diverter tub spout, not a faucet.Maybe just get a new faucet?
