I'm installing a toto ultramax2 toilet on a 1' square tile floor with a Danco perfect seal wax ring. I dry fitted the toilet, no ring, and it rocks every so slightly. The flange is flush so I'm confident there is no interference and also place the toilet in different part of the bathroom and it didn't rock. I used a carpenter's rafter square and found a very small gap so I suspect one tile is not exactly in plane with the others. To reduce stop the rocking, I place ~0.05" thick neoprene washers at 12,9,6, and 3. I use the very thin washers since traditional rubber shims would be far too thick. My plan would be to complete the installation and then finish it with caulk.

Should I have any concerns with this approach?

Caulk it with some good adhesive caulk and force the caulk into the crack with your finger. Let it dry a couple days. It’ll be solid.
