Greetings, my first post here.

Recently had some flooding due to a neighbor's tree clogging the sewer line. As a result, water started to flow and then started streaming out from under the toilet.
The tub did also fill with about 3-4" of water sewer water.

My question is, should that wax ring have leaked like that? The ring was replaced about a month ago.

Thanks in advance!

Yes they will leak. After you get everything taken care of and running good I would pull the toilet and clean underneath and then replace the seal with a new wax ring with horn.
