i'm having a slow dripping (leak? ... see video link) from an emergency/battery backup sump pump that sits above the 2 main sump pumps in the pit. i recently asked a plumber about it when they were at the house for another issue, and they told me it was normal/not necessary to fix. is this accurate? its seems like it would just be adding water back to the pit to be pumped out?
i did check that the backup pump works (and it does) ...

thank you!

It appears there is no check valve on the pipe coming from the low voltage back-up pump...so, indeed, not a lot to worry about...yeah, it would make sense to have a check valve or pipe the backup separately.

thanks very much!
is that adding a lot of extra workload back into the pit for the main pump, or not significant?
