Does anyone have any experience snaking water lines? Not drain lines but water lines. I have well water with iron buildup in the water lines between the well and filter, about 150 feet of 1" PVC. Rather than digging them up and replacing it occurred to me I could open them up at each end and snake out the buildup. Would cost less. Anyone ever done this? If so, what equipment and did it work?

What you are wanting to do has been done. Both ends were dug up and the ells were removed,so there are no bends in the pipe, and
a wire puller was used to pull a home-made cleaning tool through the pipe.
It took a few pulls to get it all clean, but was easier than digging up the line and replacing it.
