Hello all,

I'm an amateur handyman. I was replacing the fill valve and flapper in my sister's toilet, and when I went to put the tank supply hose in, I guess I pulled it too hard into position and put a hole in it, half an inch above the valve.

Figured it was no problem, I would just replace the tank hose- except it's not a threaded screw type attachment, but it doesn't look soldered on, either. Will I have to replace the valve, too?

Thanks y'all

that's a 5/8" od compression valve (used on 1/2" copper) so you would leave the old nut on the existing pipe and replace the rest with t he new valve and get a braided toilet supply
