I recently remodeled a bathroom and installed a new vanity that had limited space. Although it is functioning I failed my inspection. The inspector said I needed to lower the p-trap because it interfered with event pipe. Goes straight up after entering the wall in down to the sewage. I just wanted to confirm that the inspector was correct because of my mind it shouldn't matter.

You’ll need to cut some more of the cabinet bottom out, or drawer. Whatever’s in the way.
