Hey guys,

The valve that goes to my washing machine is leaking when I open it. The leak comes from the black arrow in the image. I would like to know if the part circled in red is a nut that I can tighten to solve the problem. Note: I tried but that piece didn't move (maybe I need to apply more force assuming it's a nut?).

Thanks.

There’s an oring in there that needs to be replaced. It doesn’t have a packing nut to tighten.

Thanks. I opened it and there is a crack in the thread (see the yellow circle in the image). Could this cause a leak? I'll try changing the o-ring anyway.

That’s actually the other valve……but yeah, it’s ruined. The threads are broke.

How did it get turned backwards ? That’s not good.
