Hi

This is my first attempt at DIY plumbing so any help/advice much appreciated!

I am installing an outdoor kitchen area in my back garden complete with outdoor sink. This will be a simple cold water setup connected to my outdoor tap via hose. However, the sink will be located right next to the rear of the house where there is an existing drainage pipe currently being used by my washing machine only (the washing machine is located about 5 meters further in side the house and the drainage pipe is one straight run downwards until it hits a 90 degree turn at the point it exists the building and then runs directly to the public drain). The photo shows where the pipe exists the building and this is where the outdoor sink will be located.

First question is, is it safe to connect directly to this pipe at this point to use as drainage for the outdoor sink or could there be issues in terms of water travelling all the way back up to the washing machine? Bearing in mind, this outdoor sink will not be in use very often and I can ensure it's not in use at same time as washing machine.
If it is feasible, then follow question is, what would be best method/material requirements to connect to this drainage pipe? The piping is 30mm and I have a flexi pipe waste for the outdoor sink. That's it!

Thanks!
