Living in a home in the northeast with a basement sink sump pump connected to a oakum & lead seweage pipe. To my knowledge this has never been changed out and now with the air conditioner condenser running it’s overflowing and not running.

I want to change out the motor because it’s rusted out but I can’t seem to get the lid off the basin. From the photo it seems the drain pipe is sealed to the lid and a couple screws won’t come off the lid.

Any help to what I could do to do this project DIY? Should I call someone? Thanks for any help!

I think those are threaded in to the lid, give the problem screws some nut buster,wd-40
Something like that tap the back of your screwdriver hard as your trying to loosen
