Hi all,
Probably a discussion regarding rats in toilets has been done before but couldn't find through the search. Within a week, two rats visited us in the bathroom. I discussed this with my landlord and he is fine for any protection. Has anyone installed Toilet safety valves/flapper in a standard US toilet where the draining is at the bottom?
I found 2 different rat guards (links are below):

1 ) http://www.snake-rat-frog-in-toilet.com/products.html
https://www.animaltrapsandsupplies.com/products/toilet-barrier-multi-flap-2.html

2) http://totet.com/

They look promising but why there is no image or video online how to install it.
The only description useful was "To install, you will need to remove the toilet and old wax ring, then install the Toilet Barrier, a new wax ring, and then reinstall the toilet."

Does anyone have experience with this kind of products?

Thanks

Sorry, I can't help you on this one, but if I had this issue, I'd save my money and move to a new place!

I don't know what type of residence it is but I would be inclined to get the landlord to put a backwater valve or similar device on the main line leaving the premise.
