Yeah.. I've been having to pick up after my mother and brother for years. When Dad was around, he picked up after them too. Although when he wasn't feeling well I would get guilt-tripped in to doing it. LOL.

Now I do it because it has to be done.

I tried to sleep last night since Fippy was home, but my mother kept waking me up over stuff. She woke me up after midnight about wanting me to carry Fippy back to her room for her and then she stayed and played on her computer for another hour while I had to sit there with Fippy and try to keep him in a spot that wouldn't be in her way. Then around 3 am she paged about him being on her legs and she needed me to move him. Then around 5 something she paged me about how he'd managed to worm most of the way out of his bandage and he couldn't pee because the bandage was so low. So I had to run to the store when it opened at 6am to go get some more gauze and some bandages that stick to themselves.

Fippy was ecstatic when I cut the old bandage off. Stupid crappy gauze they used was coming apart and threads were sticking to his staples and getting tangled on things. I wrapped the bandage sort of like his harness so it would be more comfortable and hopefully won't slip.

I still have to give a friend a lift to a place about an hour away. I'm hoping my Ibuprofen kicks in. I think I need to see a doctor- my family doctor will have to give me a referral to a specialist.

I ended up having to take my brother to the doctor because his COPD is acting up. He had to get a shot and some oral meds. I dropped him off and took Fippy to the vet for a bandage change and checkup. I requested pain medication for the little guy and man, it made a world of difference when it kicked in. He could barely move before we gave him medicine, but after it had time to kick in, he was willing to go outside to water the plants and he came running back and jumped up the steps. His appetite improved and he drank more water.

I've got a cold, but am hoping it will clear up soon.

I did drywall like I have been doing all week. I hate drywall.

can i pick on you about your drywall? did you bevel the cut ends?

are your screws tight just enough to be below the surface but not enough to tear the paper?

did you use mesh tape or paper tape?

when I sheet rocked my house, I learned something. I hate sheet rock too!!!!!!

I never understood why most drywallers I know get high all the time. I hung drywall in one room one time.....now I understand.

Did not bevel because I don't care. Screws are perfect, I'm not new to drywall. I just hate it like the rest of you. It's not perfect but it's not bad either.

Used paper tape because that is what I am experienced in.

If I did drywall for a living I would have to do drugs as well.

Frodo, yes, he has a nebuliser and different types of inhalers. He hates the nebuliser meds because they make him dizzy, but he uses it when he's really feeling bad.

Right now I'm sick with some respiratory crud. I've been wheezing and coughing. No fun, but at least I don't have a headache and nausea anymore. I'm hoping its just a cold that will go away soon.

I helped a friend put up drywall before. I think I'll stick to thin wood panels. LOL.

Meanwhile, my dog is doing much better today. Had to replace his bandages already from Friday-- but the vet sort of botched the bandaging since we had her laughing so hard when she was trying to wrap them. I think they use crappy bandages anyway. Charge $21 to put them on. It's $5 for washable self-cling sports bandages, so we bought some and put them on. He seems to like how we wrap the bandages better. He was running all over this morning. They took the drainage tube out of his abdomen (it was about half the length of his body) and that seems to have improved his mood. He still had one wound that was draining afterward (it was left open) so we put extra gauze and slathered on some triple antibiotic cream before wrapping him up. Seems to be working for him. Poor baby looks like a Frankendog with the scars, staples, and stitches. But at least he's on the mend and feeling better.

I have a bad reaction to Nyquil-- it makes me agitated and for some reason exacerbates my arrhythmia. I've been taking a generic Dayquil but its not doing much for the coughing. I took Mucinex DM for the coughing and it did jack squat. The store was out of Delsym, which usually helps a bit. I was coughing so hard at the store today that the employees were worried about me. I'm hoping I won't get bronchitis again.

Today is my brother's birthday and we took our friend to the store. His girlfriend and another friend tagged along. We ended up having a good time. We went to our favorite Thai restaurant. He had the Tom Yum Gai and Cow Pod Gai with some Num Pla sauce. One of the friends had never been there and she loved the food. I picked up some Tom Kha Gai for Mom, which made her very happy. The owner gave my brother a glass of wine for free since it was his birthday. She really is a sweetheart. We've known her since the 80s and she's always been very nice to us. Every time I go in, I order something that isn't even on the menu anymore but she always makes it for me.

So, it was a pretty nice day. Tomorrow I get to bring Fippy to the vet to get his bandages changed and I might take one of my cats for a free dental exam.

love chinese food, we went to Taipei Taiwan . for Christmas one year. on a military hop. while we were there we hired a driver instead of taking taxi's every where. His name was was Sing hung Song. really a nice guy. The first day, We asked him to take us to a restaurant to have lunch
He pulled in front of a big swanky looking place. We said, no no..we want to go where YOU eat lunch. Not a tourist trap.
So, he took us to a small Mom an Pop little restaurant off the beaten path. We knew it was authentic, When the waitress new him.
We ordered our food. Just like at a regular american restaurant, on the table was the silverware on a napkin. this silverware was chop sticks
when the food came out. the waitress rushed over and brought us forks. We declined, told her. we got this!!.
They got quite a laugh watching us eat, seems we were the intertainment, we had a blast and greatly enjoyed the food
then we went to a Buddhist,Temple and were thrown out for taking pictures....another story, another time
while there. i learned about "music pirating" i wondered into a record shop
low and behold!!!!!! every album I ever wanted was their for like $.50 each!!!! MAN, I scarffed up a bunch of old GOOD music.

I know I spent $10.00 and walked out with an arm load of albums.
I put them in my suit case. And the customs guy took them away, threw them in a 55 gallon drum!!!!!!!!!!!! SOB!!!!!

I've never been to China, but I used to tutor a guy from Taiwan. He was 75 years old and was very sweet. He had a great sense of humor. There is also a lot of Chinese culture over in Singapore where I spent 4 years. The people there LOVE to see tourists eating. A friend of ours used to take us to a fruit market area where you could sit down and eat the fruit after you bought it. They particularly enjoyed seeing people eat durian. Apparently most tourists refuse to try it because of the smell.

I loved the food over in Singapore. The char siew (sweet pork) was so good. That's where I developed my love of Hoy Hsin sauce.

Did you get a chance to listen to the pirated music? I found out that its not the original artists singing it. I got some CDs pretty cheap at a kiosk and when I listened to it, the people couldn't even pronounce the words properly. It was hilarious.

I remember buying a pirated movie and was so jazzed at how cheap it was. I started watching the movie, which kept going in and out of focus, then in the picture, I see a movie goer walking across the screen. Yep, you get what you pay for! :D

Ha! I remember my father bought Aladdin that was pirated from Malaysia. The camera kept moving, you could hear people coughing, and people got up and walked in front of the camera. It was awful, but I had to laugh at it.

LOL! We used to live in California and my poor Dad had to suffer through that It's A Small World ride over and over because my sister and I loved it. I still remember some of the Spanish lyrics for it. I think he preferred Sea World. We used to go there a lot.

I let Fippy out for his morning lawn watering and he came back without his bandages. I'm not sure how he wormed out of them, but he seems pretty happy about it. He still has a small open wound on his chest, but it doesn't appear to be draining anymore.

Same here. back in the mid 70's. In the Navy. scooped up a bunch of 33 vinyl albums. $.50 a pop. Bunch of us bought some really bad a$$ stereo equip in the Philippines on base ,Duty Free. The vinyl records where soft and only good for a few plays. Reel to Reel recorders where the thing to have. So We recorded everything. Good times
