is the neuropathy in your feet.??
Feet, legs, arms... muscle wasting in one calf.
Takes you from an active person to one that acts like there trying to slowly walk a cross hot coals.. but can't because your legs feel like rubber. Hands shaking , at times you can't use a spoon, or a glass. Terrible disease.

Timing is everything:

While enjoying my morning shower, the water was suddenly reduced to a tiny trickle. My first thought was that either “Twowaxhack” was playing games in the laboratory or the shower head had suddenly developed a massive clot.. Tried another faucet and the same thing 🤪. Fully soaped up, I wrapped up in a towel and scurried past the front door on the way to the basement where the shutoff and PRV is located, I caught a glimpse of a flash of yellow and opened the door to investigate.

Turns out that at that exact same time, the county waterworks plumber had chosen to replace the meter with a new high tech smart one. He apologized for the “inconvenience” and life moved on.

Wow, had no idea that shot could do that. I understand why you would take shingles over this. My wife and I both had the shingle
shots and probably wouldn't of taken them if I would have heard your story earlier. Sorry.

I am really glad you and your wife had no problems. I did, so it's a shout it to the world so you can make an informed decision type thing.
But I'll never get another Vax again. It's screwed up my nervous system so bad, anything can make it flare up.

I was just browsing through a retirment / tax forum.
One poster was crying that they didn't know how to handle thier 600+ k RMD.
I about fell out of my chair.
And the kicker was all the reply were others with similar trouble and what they do.
I must live in some other world than these folks.

I don't even know what an RMD is. Retirement something?

Blueskyhigh, glad they took care of more of the ulcers in your wife. I learned the hard way not to take too many NSAIDs. I used to be taking like 1200mg of Ibuprofen at least 2x a day for years. I had (and still have) chronic pain. Don't get the migraines as much now though.

I've forgiven Mom and am not mad about the tax forms. I've blamed other people (but not said anything to them about it) for stuff going missing before and then found it. I know how it can go. I forget where I put things all the time.

Meanwhile, I'm about to lose my mind over the stupidity of Medicare. They approved of the insulin pump but now reneged and will not approve it and I'm trying to explain to the diabetes place that the type of insulin Mom takes is the equivalent of taking more than 3 doses a day. They keep changing what the requirements are to get approval and its pissing me off. I will have to either call Medicare or talk to the NP who prescribed the pump. I also explained that she's on a CGM so she has her sugar checked constantly and that the type of insulin she takes is not working properly which is why she needs the pump paired with the CGM.

Also, the AC keeps not cooling until I flip breakers off for a few seconds and then wait several minutes before telling the thermostat to turn it back on. Not sure what is up with that.

Need to get the car AC fixed in the CR-V as well. Saw my brother driving out with the window down as I was heading back from the pharmacy.

Usually, medicare denies stuff because the Dr. Didn't code it correctly. At least .for medical procedures and tests. Im going to assume that's the same for medical equipment.
You might try the Dr. Again. And tell them the troubles you having.
And .. An RMD is a required minimum distribution. If you have saved money for retirment in a 401k. Once you hit (for me) 73 years old. They force you to start withdrawing from it.
They have a formula, but I believe the first withdrawl is your total saved divided by 26.5., then each year that number goes down a little, but the amount you have to withdraw is pretty close to the same as the first one. You have to get it all out at some point. (I wish I had the problem of having 600k as my first withdrawl, and not knowing what to do with it) that's more like winning the lottery money.
You may be low on freon and your coil is freezing up. Sometimes if you put it on heat, it will thaw it out enough to run for a while. But it sounds like your due to have it looked at.

My wife has a herniated disc in her neck, and her doc wrote up an MRI referral for her 6 months ago. She made the appointment, and the first thing the MRI place wanted to know was the Medicare code on the referral. It was read off and said the numbers were not good. She called the doc back and it was resent with the correct code. Again, it was flagged due to improper coding. She finally got pissed and called Medicare directly for the proper code, and after an hour on the phone, they came up with the proper number and Medicare submitted the paperwork to the MRI place. Yet, once again, the MRI kicked back the paperwork to the doctor saying this was also the incorrect code. She contacted the billing department at the MRI place and spoke to the billing person, asking for the proper code. The lady said this information was confidential, and referred her back to her doctor. He doctor then called the MRI billing lady asking for the proper code and they told my doctor it was not up to her to tell her the proper code, and she would need to consult with Medicare.

3 weeks later, we still have no MRI scheduled, the doctor has given up, the MRI refuses to book my wife, and Medicare insists the number they provided was the correct number.

Although we have the top of the line insurance, but being over 65, the insurance will not pay unless it is approved by Medicare, so we are stuck in the middle with no help.

Ladies and Gentlemen, this is what has happened to our Medical system as a result of Obamacare.

Yes if medicare doesn't approve something then your supplement will not pay anything either. We all find this stuff out the hard way

I have Medicare A only and my Federal Blue Cross Blue Shield that I had while working and, as far as I know, Medicare hasn’t stuck its nose between my healthcare providers and my Blue Cross insurance at any time. Why would Medicare need to get involved?

Once you retire, Medicare becomes your primary insurance and your Blue Cross / Blue Shield (or similar) becomes your secondary.
