Other than ice maker tubing which is 1/4" compression, what are the different sizes for angle valves? And how can you decipher the size of it other than years of experience of just looking at it. These are what I know of;

3/8" compression
1/2" compression
1/2" IPS (and is F.I.P. interchangeable with I.P.S.)

here is some info we discussed about tubing size.

1/2" IPS is Iron Pipe Size. FIP refers to female iron pipe size and MIP to male iron pipe size.
