I don’t The first thing about plumbing, but I found this sink and was hoping to re-purpose it. The underside is a bit rusty, and the hole has some wear Where I assume the pipe will be fed through and attached.I’m wondering if this would cause problems, or if the pipe is fit in such a way that it wouldn’t matter?

Porcelain on steel sinks are fairly at the bottom of the quality range right out of the box and hardly manufactured at all any more.
That sink has seen a lot of years and is in beyond-funky condition.
The drain should seal, but the rust will continue and will become a liability at some point in the not to distant future.
NO, don't waste your time with it.

Rusty corroded outdated junk, and so is the trusty old Moen faucet, dump at the curb.

Might be ok for a fishing cabin, or somewhere in Hooterville.

Curb was where I found it and took the pics - guess I’ll put it back. Thanks for the heads up everyone!
