My shower usually has great water pressure but every once in a while, it will barely have any. I've noticed that it will usually come back if turn the water on and off a few times. Does anyone have any idea what is causing this? I've also noticed that if i turn the water off and push the knob that drains the excess water from the main faucet and then turn the water and shower back on, this method restores the pressure probably 9 out of 10 times.

Side note: Not sure if this has anything to do with it or not (probably not but I figure the more information, the better) but, when my guest bathroom turns it's shower on, there's gets extremely hot while mine immediately loses all heat.

If it's a single handle valve sounds like a bad pressure balancer. If not have a single handle valve installed. Will correct the scalding affect/chill effect. Also sounds like you need a repipe
