Good Morning All-

The shower in the upstairs bathroom is warm but not hot. The sink next to the
shower gets hot it less that 30 seconds. The shower is controlled by a "mixit"
handle and there is only one valve for both the hot and cold water. The water
pressure is the same for both the hot and cold water which leads me to believe
there are no obstructions in the lines. It takes about 5 minutes (sometimes longer) for the water even to get warm. The shower is 26 years old and I can't
remember when the water was really hot instead of just warm.

Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions.

Thank you so much.

If you can figure out how to remove the handle, post a picture of the valve with the handle off. It may be that there is an adjustment that can be made.

Here is a pic of the valve. There appears to no temperature regulation.
I apologize for the pic being late.

Thanks again for your input.

put a wrench on the front of the bonnet or collar and unthread it then you can pull cartridge out. make sure u turn the water off first

Finally found the time to remove the 26 year old cartridge. I replaced it with a new one. That solved the problem. Thank you so much. Happy Holidays!
