I want to add a toilet and a sink to make a basement bathroom. Does it matter what order I add these two things? Also what is the best way to vent these?
I attached a diagram of my plumbing.
I'd love thoughts on how and where things are venting in this diagram. I worry things like the washing machine, sink and dishwasher are just venting through that 2" open (to the basement) pipe, but maybe they are venting through the 4" vent. The current plan is to just add the NEW toilet and sink to that "line." Please let me know if I should be capping that 2" pipe and doing something different.
Because I am taking a lot of things apart and am essentially down to the studs right now, it's the best time to rework venting to try and do it right.
