Not sure how to take off a thread, but turn out you couldn't just unscrew the handle base, problem solved, no more help needed 
Hi, the hot water either drips or runs and has to be shut at the valve for now after each use.
It has that split from the hot/cold flex valve connected to a center piece and no apparent screw on the handle to access the cartridge. Where is the most likely point of failure to replace, and how to even take everything apart?
