After searching the internet and books, I have yet to find my specific tub spout configuration anywhere. When I removed my tub spout, plastic tubing was stuck inside of the spout. The plastic tubing is threaded on the outside. It screw into the copper piping which ends approximately 1/2" into the wall. I already bought a new spout as it looked like it would be the proper solution, however, it is not. Do I have to create my own plastic tube pipe solution in order to affix a new tub spout? OR are there tub spouts out there that have piping that is threaded on the outside and screwed INTO the pre-existing copper pipe. Thanks for any response.
