Bordeaux,
I'm a beginner having some issues with leaky faucets that I'm trying to open to tighten and see if anything needs replacing.
I popped the caps off, but instead of the screws I expected there seems to be some sort of plastic thing holding the faucets in place (album here).

the plastic is quite fragile, one piece was already broken and another broke as i touched and there are holes that appear to be for screws, but I'm not sure how to get the faucets off, or what type of screw i'd need.

Can anyone offer any advice please?

Thanks,
Pazu

Thank you very much, i'll look into that. :)

Do you happen to know if I could replace the spline adapters with screws?
