I have a hot water heater in the utility room in my garage. We are selling the house and the new owner wants the TPR discharge piped somewhere other than to the floor. There is no drain in the garage and the other option is to run it down the heater and across the floor and through the wall to the outside. That seems like a bad choice to me mostly because the wall is breached and you won't be able to notice if it is leaking based on where it will discharge. Also you would be stepping over the pipe all the time. I would think the better choice would be to the floor where you can see it and the pipe is not in the way. Any thoughts or suggestions? I am in GA so that code would be applicable.

I ended up running it outside. Had to include a couple elbows. Such is life.
