I've got a toilet that doesn't fill on it's own. It'll flush, but the reservoir doesn't start to fill until I turn the sink (next to the toilet) on and off, two or three times, really fast. I haven't replaced any parts, yet.

Any input would help, thanks!

It sounds as though the fill valve is sticking, and the pressure fluctuations caused by using the lavatory faucet "unsticks" it. You might be able to disassemble it and clean it, or just replace it.

Ok, I'll clean/replace the fill valve and see what happends. I'll keep you posted. Thanks!

Finally got around to the fill valve, this was last on the "to do" list. I went ahead and just changed out the whole fill valve and now it works like a champ.

Thanks for your help!
