Hi there. I bought a Marey 3.1 Tankless LP unit for my home. I live in a permanently parked travel trailer with very limited space so I must install this outside. I don't have enough juice for a electric WH.
I live just south of Flagstaff AZ and so we get some cold weather at times down to the upper teens to low 20s but mostly at or above freezing. I'm wondering about installing this in a box that is lined with 6" insulation. That would give me about 5" top and bottom and to the sides of space. My question would be how would I properly vent this for fresh air but not bring in air that would freeze the unit. The unit calls for a fresh air intake of 9x12. I was thinking of maybe running a pipe or something into my house were the air is warmer but would that even be sufficient or would I need something else? If anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate it.
