Hello everyone, I am tasked with taking the covers off of these floor drains and cleaning them out/flushing them with either some bleach or lye.

First, is it OK to use bleach or lye and do I need to use a small, coiled 'homeowner' type snake as well? In the past when the sewer drain would get clogged these floor drains would back up a bit and never drained well. Novice here and I appreciate any info!

I would try some cheap, safe white vinegar before using something caustic in those drains.

Ok thanks. One drain is extremely slow: alot of folks walk over it after being outdoors so there's alot of soil, etc in it.
