Full disclosure... I am not handy...so any simple help would be appreciated!

My shower faucet, when turned off, sits in the 6 o'clock position. To turn it on I turn it counterclockwise to the 2 o'clock position. When working normally it sounds normal and gives me hot water. Lately when I turn it fully on, the sound of the water gets louder and I only get cold water. When I drop it to the 3 o'clock position I get warm water as normal and the noise subsides and the water seems to run with no restriction. Is something getting blocked? What is going on? Help!

replace the cartridge,

remove handle by either a screw under the id button or a hole on the bottom..with an allen head inside

remove handle...stop...go turn off the meter first

then depending on the brand. pull the chrome piece off or unscrew it

remove cartridge
