I had two badly clogged kitchen sinks so I replaced the sink trap and it seemed to clear up the problem, but as soon as I reinstall the trap the sink clogs again.

I've been trying to snake the bottom-most thick pipe that goes into the wall (it's a condo) but I'm using a manual auger and don't know how effective I'm being.

Should I keep going or is it time for a pro to get involved?

You need a 3/8 CABLE.TO CLEAR that line.first look for a clean out.usually outside of kitchen wall.if no clean out then cable under sink

cut the trap arm so you can get the cable to go down the line easier. plus you can shine a flashlight in drain to make sure cable is going down line. the more bends you have to go through the harder it is to cable
