A plumber told me there is now a water heater that has a rubber or synthetic tank that will never leak. I have tried to research this, but can't find it. Does anyone know if such an electric water heater exists? Thanx. Mike

He’s probably talking about the Rheem marathon with polybutylene tank. But they eventually will leak.

State had a life time warranty on one model of their water heaters and that turned into a bust for them.

I dont see why someone does not come out with a lifetime heater. All these snowflakes want to ''go green". Sure whould be a start. Do a 416 stainless tank, 12 gauge thickness.....would last 50 years .... the tank that least.
