Replacement Stem For Stop Valve

I have a Brass Craft Multi Turn Stop Valve. It leaks when I close it. I have tightened the nut and also repacked it but I would like to replace the stem. I see both brass and plastic replacement stems. OK to use either the brass or plastic?

Go buy a Brasscraft multi turn of the same type and rob the parts out. Straight stops have longer stems than angle. Plastic or brass stems will fit.

There are also 2 washers that you can change

I would replace with the same as you have now.
