Hi,

I'm doing some work in the bathroom of a house we just purchased and noticed a big gaping hole in the vent pipe. The hole extends right down to the slab foundation. Can this be patched up or would I need to break up the slab to reveal more of the pipe to fit in a new piece of pipe? If it can be patched, what methods would you use?

Any assistance would be much appreciated. Thanks!

The proper way is what djmayhill stated but you could buy some Fernwood bands cut one side and wrap around pipe. You will still get sewer gases in house it really should be fixed properly
