Removing drain pipe assembly

Hello, all, DIY and new to the forum…

I am renovating a small (2.5’x4’) shower stall. I have removed the fiberglass shower pan, but am having difficulty removing the rest of the drain flange assembly from the drain pipe. I’ve attached pics of what I have. Hopefully you are able to tell what I’m looking at. All of it feels like plastic, so I don’t think it’s the normal gasket around the drain pipe.

I’m really confused what I am looking at, so any help in explaining this and instructions on how to remove it would be greatly appreciated!

It looks like it was a glue up assembly. Start by cutting away the p trap and then starting over.
I recommend you hire a pro to do go further.
