Hi. I have a newbuild. The two towling radiators make a loud metal on metal pinging noise when they get hot and the kitchen and lounge radiators make a metal on metal clicking noise when they're heating up. The plumbber has lowered the water pressure to 0.7 bar to try to get rid of the noises however, this is now affecting the efficiency of the system and how long it takes to heat up. Could someone suggest s possible reason for the noises please and comment on whether you think lowering the pressure is the right thing to do?

Thanks. If the expansion of the radiators is causing the noise by making contact with the metal brackets, is there any way to stop that happening? I thought the pressure should be cidca 1.5 bar. Is that the case?
