So I'm about to plumb in a new shower in my mobile home. I'm ripping out the old one and not sure about how to plumb in the waterlines to the actual valve. It looks like grey pex pipe so I'm wondering if I need to use copper from the valve to the shower head or if I can use pex. Also do I need to redo the drain or if the new drain will line up with the old drain?

Are you sure this is grey PEX, or could it be PBP tubing? For the shower head, either will work but many like the rigidity of copper pipe. Regarding the drain, I'm sure you have ABS black drain lines, so if the new drain doesn't match up exactly, it is an easy fix to cut it out and replace, if necessary.
