It is for this reason we developed an optional sun shield to protect the motor, pump and variable speed drive even in the harshest environments.
Leaving the product in the sun all day in a state like Florida is the perfect test for long term reliability. We had our test unit exposed to direct sunlight for over two months, no adverse effects other than a little fading of the powder coat.
This option will eliminate even that.
