New Kohler Installation

Hi everyone,

I had a kohler Willamette combo tub/faucet professionally installed. When the shower is on a lot back flow from comes from the tub faucet. It seems to be measured correctly, 5 1/8". Any suggestions on what could be causing this?

Looks like a typical tub shower valve configuration.
When you pull on the diverter nob on the tub spout it should stop about 95% of the water flow from spout and flow is redirected to the shower head.
The spout could be defective or the seal in the diverter could be missing.

Check your water pressure. This valve has a minimum 45 psi/maximum 80 psi recommended water pressure limits.
