My Clearstream aerobic septic controller was destroyed by fire last week. I am replacing it with an SPI unit. Currently it is direct wired for float control and doing fine.

My question concerns the float switches. My system has 3, but they are not on the pump tube as expected: Pump, override, alarm. Mine has the pump and alrm at the top, but the 3rd float swith is in the entry tank, positioned to signal if that tank level gets too high (outlet plugged). Is this a normal configuration? Should I leave it that way, and if so, how should I treat it at the controller, as the Override alarm switch?

My parts supplier that sold me the box can't help, never heard of that.

I have to replace both alarm floats anyway, but to install it in the output tank I would have to run wires.

Suggestions welcome.
