My basement toilet is blasting water out at the base.

So they came back today. It’s 35 degrees and snowing. It took them a few hours to dig it up, clear it, and install the outside cleanout. They didn’t hydrojet it. They hit no resistance at their previously marked blockage, and we think they were at least ten feet into the city line before it started to drain. My personal feeling is that I’ll be calling them back in a few days. I hate to be cynical about it, but I just don’t see that they did anything that wasn’t already tried. They seemed to key in on this house being vacant for several months prior to us moving in. They explained that there could have been old solids that just dried up in there, and everyone else had just pushed it a little further, but not cleared it. Anyways, fingers crossed that it’s actually cleared this time. Time will tell.
