both of my sinks in my master bath (second floor of house) emit a sewer gas smell when first turning them on. They both have p traps and are both used multiple times a day (don’t believe the trap would be dry). No other faucet in the house has this issue. House is 5 years old if that matters. Any ideas?

Our master bath has two sinks but only one, mine, has this same issue. When running the faucet, there's about 15 seconds of sewer smell and then gone until the sink is unused for a couple of hours. Like you, it's used frequently so wouldn't be dry trap.

If I fill the basin with water and open the stopper, I don't get the smell.

I still get the smell if I run water and have my thumb blocking the overflow.

Would this still potentially be an overflow issue that bleach would resolve??

Bleach is cheap and it only takes a few minutes to try it.

Have a great day ✌️
