Hello, I cannot seem to remove this nut with a wrench or regular sized basin wrench. It's the nut actually holding down the faucet. Any advice on how I should try to remove would help so much. Thanks!

easiest way is to disconnect the water and drain. pull the sink from the hole.

if nut will not budge, cut the nut in half
Is that literally just carefully prying the sink up and then resealing it when finished?

yes, use a sharp knife. cut the caulk around the sink. pull it up. then clean all the old caulk off, recaulk the sink when finished

literally, cut the caulk, all the way around. pull the sink

when you recaulk....use dap , and a sponge. apply dap, wipe with a damp sponge, rinse sponge

recaulk as necessarry. wipe with clean damp sponge

repeat. till a nice bead all the way around sink

caulk, wet wipe, rinse, caulk, wet wipe, rinse, caulk etc

That doesn't sound too terrible. Thanks for the advice!
