This isn't a specific plumbing question but I'm scratching my head over what's going on. Just over a year ago my wife had a stroke and since that time she has to use a shower chair and hand held shower. Several months ago I notice the paint bulge shown in the picture. I know that the hand held shower occasionally directs more water on the wall tile so I'm wondering if the grout lines are the problem? Could the joint where the tub spout meets the tile be the problem? Would appreciate on suggestions on tracking the problem. The shower is on the second floor so just the attic above.
